PROTOCOL & PROCEDURES

 UPDATES

  • We are asking all delivery volunteers to no longer enter even the lobby of senior housing. Please discuss a plan with your buddy for outside pick-up.

  • If you feel your buddy would benefit from an additional   "phone buddy", please let us know.

  • Feeding Chittenden food shelf in Burlington is offering boxed groceries for curbside pick-up. This is a great option to help save grocery costs. For more information visit: feedingchittenden.org.

  • If you are asked, we can use SNAP cards for our buddies. Just ask them to give you their PIN and leave the card in an envelope outside their front door at a  predetermined pick up time.

You'll want to check this calendar 24-48hrs  before your buddy's scheduled delivery day. Scheduled days only apply to packaged meals or assorted pre-bagged groceries.

  • If your buddy orders packaged meals, ask them to pick a delivery day, Tuesday OR Thursday 9 - 11am. Recipients can order more than one meal per order.

  • If your buddy orders pre-bagged groceries, their delivery day (for meals and pre-bagged groceries) is Thursday 9 - 11am.

  • Be sure your buddy calls in their order every week, for meals and/or bagged groceries.  Adele should be called 48hrs in advance 863-3982 Ext 1.

Feel free to offer your buddies items from our Lending Library. We have plenty of books, puzzles, adult coloring books and pencils, and activity books available to include with meal/grocery orders. Only books and larger puzzles need to be returned, at any point in the future*.
